Picosa presents the culminating concert of a guest residency with the Composition Department at Roosevelt University Chicago College of the Performing Arts.  This three part residency includes workshops and a composition competition with Roosevelt University composition students.  Picosa will feature the competition-winning work together with What Prevails for clarinet, violin, and piano by Roosevelt University Composition faculty member Kyong Mee Choi.  Additional works include Florent Ghys’ charming, multi-media work Etudes on 11 Faces for violin, cello, and piano, Valerie Coleman’s Portraits on Langston for flute, clarinet, piano, and narrator featuring poetry by Langston Hughes, and Chicago composer Marc Mellits’ rhythmically complex and driving Spam for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano.  Join us for this Picosa snapshot concert!
