Picosa’s cellist, Paula Kosower, is an active performer and teacher currently residing in Evanston.  In recent seasons she has performed in chamber music programs for the Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Music Series, the Chicago Chamber Musicians, the University of Illinois-Chicago, North Park University Faculty Concerts, Bach Week Festival Concerts, and for special events at the Music Institute of Chicago.

She frequently serves as a substitute player in the cello sections of the Chicago Symphony and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.  She has also played for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Grant Park Orchestra.

Ms. Kosower teaches applied lessons, cello pedagogy and orchestra repertoire and is an adjunct  faculty member at several universities including Northwestern University, DePaul University, and North Park University.  She teaches private cello lessons for pre-college students at the Northwestern University Music Academy.  She received her D.M. degree at Northwestern University where she student with Hans Jorgen-Jensen.  She received her B.M. and M.M. degree at Indiana University where she was a scholarship student and a graduate assistant of Janos Starker.
